On June 11, 2013, Albia High School sophomore, Matthew Vaughan suddenly passed away from natural causes. Matthew was a member of the Albia tennis team. Albia Boys’ Tennis Coach, Joe Judge and Albia High School Principal, Linda Hoskins, joined Scott Fry for an interview remembering and honoring the life of Matthew Vaughan.

KIIC is pleased to announce the addition of Rich Grimes to our Summer Sports Broadcasting Schedule. Rich will be broadcasting the play-by-play of many of Albia’s baseball and softball games this summer. Rich will be joined throughout the season by Albia’s Inaugural Baseball Coach Bill Sailor.

ALBIA GRADUATE LANDS MOVIE ROLE

Jenny Ladner Appears in Hit Movie “Hangover Part III”

Jenny Ladner, an Albia High School graduate, appears in Warner Brothers newly released hit movie “Hangover Part III”.

Ms. Lander is an actor and model based in Los Angeles, California and the daughter of Sherri and Bill Duey of Albia.

Jenny’s brief appearance is in the later portion of the movie. She bumps into “Phil” ( Bradley Cooper) and speaks to him as he walks through a party in a penthouse suite in Caesar’s Palace Hotel/Casino in Las Vegas.

Jenny received a credit and is listed in the cast at the end of the movie.

“Hangover Part III” is showing at least through June 6th in Centerville and Ottumwa.
